This episode is about the color wheel and color theory terms of art. Color typing techniques are also discussed, such as Color Me Beautiful and Silver/Gold types.
I talk about my attempt at knitting Tango. And the miserable failure it was. I hope to get inspired to do some charity knitting for Operation Helmet Liner. Finally I rant about a bookmark to a pattern I should have downloaded years ago.

With Spring, a sense of renewal also arrives. This usually means for me reigning in creative spurts. While I did have some “startitis,” I kept pretty focused on the projects I have been working on since Winter - Jester and Bluebonnet. The immediacy of a wedding and the usual sock knitting made me yearn for airy, yet substantial projects. In this episode I discuss the thinking process of my recent project planning. This process was brought about by my legal writing process.
The main project discussed in this episode is the Collinnette Ab-Fab Throw in Ecru.
The intro music comes from the podsafe music network.

Remember to email me or comment on the show to enter the contest to win a Winter Issue of Verena Knitting and a skein of Lorna’s Laces Lamb and Wool. I talk about how my Mac computer held hostage my hard disk memory for years. I share some news in the knitting world, and, as always, share my knitting-related frustrations.
DFW Fiber Fest 2009 is coming and I am watching out for a spinning class.
Thanks to all who have let me know they enjoy the show.
I started a group in ravelry for listeners to share experiences, thoughts, comments - well anything really. I started a thread about KAL.
Until the next one, Happy Knitting!

In this episode we discuss various techniques of locking the stitches, evening out the tension at the borders of the color changes, and even a one-yarn Intarsia technique from the Knitters Magazine Fall 2008 Article and project. I talk about our new puppy and a 102 Dalmatians movie inspired dog sweater.
Happy to back podcasting… and I hope you enjoy the show. I am holding a contest where one listener could win the Winter 2009 Issue of Verena Knitting magazine. At the moment the podcast does not have any sponsors, so my endorsement of this product is strictly my own. If you want to see if you will like it too, leave a comment in my blog at www.knitscience.com, send me an email at knitscience@gmail.com, or a message in ravelry to “miriamq” and let me know the following: 1) Is there a knitting fad you wish came back into fashion? Tell me about it. 2) Is there a type of knitting you wish were not in fashion? Tell me about it. 3) Is there a project that you can’t wait to start or finish? Tell me about it.
The winner will be randomly chosen and I may read or describe your input in a future episode. Entries will be considered up to April 1.

Catching up with the world is serious business and after a few months of being a working bee, it is time to get the knitting in gear. The story by the munchkin was recently found deep in the bellows of my computer - and I hope you enjoy it.
Happy New Year, and Happy Knitting!

This episodes attempts to make up for the lost months since last episode. “Got Tweed” focuses on, you guessed it, tweed. I discuss the Sunrise Circle Jacket that I have started knitting with KnitPick’s Essential Tweed (doubled) and, as usual, a story by the munchkin, who as he gets older, the stories get longer and longer. The one in this episode, is about “big, big, BIG” things. Hope you enjoy it.
