Episode 18- Overloaded

Posted in Knitting by knitscience on December 9th, 2007

This episode delves into information overload, end of the year knitting, Christmas stockings, and, as usual, a story by my munchkin. The music selection is courtesy of the podsafe music network. The artist is Kevin Dremel, with a song entitled “Chrismast Story.” Here is a LINK .

The YouTube videos I refer to are found here and here .

The January 2008 issue of Creative Magazine has an “intermediate” level top-down sweater pattern.

And we review a Christmas Stocking in Knitting in America. by Melanie Falick.

Happy Holidays and Happy Knitting.

    Hurray!! Another podcast is up!

I love your podcasts for several reasons. I am a techie and I love the approach you take to knitting. I learn so much from every episode. I want to learn the why not just the how and you share that perspective. I love your stories about your family. I also like you sharing some of the challenges you have with the little time you have free. I am in the same situation fitting in knitting when I can.

    Happy Knitting!

I love the new music–keep it! Also one of your munchkin’s best stories. I enjoyed this episode, and an earlier episode about ease was also really useful to me and one I’m saving for later listening. Have a wonderful holiday!

Another great episode, thank you! I too am a fan of the flip top mitten. I made a pair a while ago but need to do surgery on the thumbs. I need the option of having the tip of the thumb exposed as well because you wouldn’t believe how much of a difference it makes to feel with your thumb. I’ve been reluctant to make the cut, but I’m ready! http://www.flickr.com/photos/bogiebogie/2098982489/

    Merry Christmas! –Janice

P.S. Loved the story of leaving grass and flowers for the reindeer. That’s a wonderful tradition.
