Episode 7 - Leisure Knitting
17May07
Knitting scientific focuses on a study concerning spousal support of leisure activities and serious hobbies in the family. In this episode I give many thanks to the overwhelming support of listeners and I answer questions that were submitted via email. The song in this episode is by Z. Hurde and the song is Promise. I talk about the current knitting magazines, especially the Vogue Knitting, Spring Summer 2007.
Also, I share with you a new story by my munchkin.
Happy Knitting!

I just discovered your podcast last night and I wanted to let you know how much I’m enjoying it! There can just never be enough fiber arts podcasts. I have a podcast called Film and Fiber, and I’ll be sure to let people know about your show the next time I record. Please let me know if you have a promo you’d like me to play. Keep up the great work!
Another great cast! Thanks so much for putting the time into doing them.
I’m sorry that you have been the victim of identity theft. I hope that it didn’t cost you too much both in terms of money and stress.
Thanks for the knitting magazine reviews, being in the US you probably get more choice then I do in the UK so it is nice to have an opinion before you commit to a subscription.
I also love the bit with your son at the end. He is very cute. Have a nice week.
Great podcast. I alway like your podcasts. Fortunately my dh is supportive of my knitting. He knows (I think) how many projects I have going and how much yarn I have but he will say to me frequently, like when I finish something, or as I pack up for knit nite, “do you have anything to knit?”
And I didn’t get over to comment last time, but welcome to the stashy dark side.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my site. I really enjoyed this episode, especially your discussion of supportive spouses. I had just made a post about ways to stash bust and increase knitting productivity, and #9 on my list was about having a supportive husband who understands your knitting obsession. You podcast affirmed my opinion about supportive mates.
I look forward to your next podcast!
Hi,I just finish hearing your last episode and I wanted to hear all of them before I live any comments and I wan’t to be honest at first I did’t like it because of the kind of music, but I have a reason. is because I hear the podcast at night when I’m in bed and your music selection at first was not to relaxing but I have heard all of them and I can not be more please of your podcast you sound like a very honest, concernd and dedicated knitter and thats what I like, you are very serius on your knitting and I feel we have this in common, I very serious about my knitting I’m a Puertorrican knitter and here in Puerto Rico I don’t know anyone who knits, their is only one yarn shop and is more dedicated to crocheing and the reason I hear podcasts is because I finaly can hear someone talk about my pasion. A year ago I thought my self how to knit and I have many question and doubts that can not just be anwser in a book and in your cientific section some of them have been answer or at least directed on were to get the anwers, so I want to thank you for your podcast and I love your son’s stories, please keep going on and I admire you for your dedication and I almost forgot your last music selection was great. Please never be discourege for what people say, you will never be able to please everyone, but you shoure can please your conscious and heart. until your next podcast. Iris
